Law enforcement officers arrived at the scene in response to a 911 call reporting a vehicle rollover. They found a severely damaged 2010 Toyota Prius overturned on the shoulder near exit 43A around 2:00 a.m.
The victims were identified as 18-year-old Oliver Charles from Deer Park, who was driving the vehicle, and 17-year-old Dymond Saunders from West Babylon, who was a passenger. Both individuals tragically lost their lives at the scene.
