The Democratic National Convention in Chicago
The Democratic National Convention is set to take place in Chicago from Aug. 19 to 22. Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz are expected to formally accept the Democratic Party’s nomination for president and vice president.
The event will be held at the United Center, home to the NBA team Chicago Bulls and NHL team Blackhawks. Evening rallies featuring speeches by prominent Democrats will be hosted here. Daytime events, including party caucuses and meetings, will be held at McCormick Place, approximately five miles away.
Notable speakers at the convention will include former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, former First Lady Michelle Obama, and 2020 presidential nominee and former First Lady Hillary Clinton. President Joe Biden is also slated to deliver remarks via video on the opening night.
For those unable to attend in person, The Epoch Times’ sister outlet, NTD Television Network, will provide special live coverage of the convention each day starting at 5 p.m. ET. This coverage will include on-the-ground reporting, special guests, and more.
