30-Year-Old Woman Charged With Murder in 3 Deaths in Toronto, Niagara Falls, Hamilton

A 30-year-old Toronto woman has been charged with murder in three separate deaths in Toronto, Niagara Falls, and Hamilton, Toronto Police say.

Sabrina Kauldhar was arrested on Oct. 3 at a hotel in Burlington for the deaths of Mario Bilich, 77, in Hamilton, Lance Cunningham, 47, in Niagara Falls, and an unidentified woman in her 60s in Toronto.

Kauldhar has been charged with second-degree murder in both the Toronto death and Cunningham’s death, and with first-degree murder in Bilich’s death.

“Investigators believe Mario Bilich and Lance Cunningham were randomly targeted, while Kauldhar was known to the Toronto victim,” Hamilton police said in a press release.

“When we have someone who’s committed three offenses in a real tight time frame like that, there is a risk of them obviously committing further offenses,” he said.

The Toronto Police Service said they responded to a call around 2:08 p.m. on Oct. 1 in the Keele Street and Dundas Street West area. A woman who has not yet been identified was found dead inside a home in the area. Police said the victim had trauma to her body.

A day later, on Oct. 2, Niagara Falls police were called to John Allan Park around 2:49 p.m. “for a report of a disturbance,” the TPS said.

Hamilton Police Service received a 911 call on Oct. 3 around 12:26 p.m. that a man was found with “significant injuries consistent with a stabbing” in the parking lot of 209 MacNab Street North. Ambulance service was requested to the area.

Police and paramedics responded to the call and the man, identified as Bilich, was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Investigators have been able to link the homicides together as the suspect matched the description in the cases, the TPS release said.

Police said they believe that Bilich and Cunningham were “randomly targeted,” while the Toronto victim was known to Kauldhar.

The murders are still under investigation, Fordy told media.

Hamilton Police Det.-Sgt. Sara Beck said that Bilich was well-known in the community.

“He is a retired teacher with the Hamilton Wentworth Catholic School Board,” she said. “His family is very involved in the community.”

Beck said that Bilich had been at a social club with friends before the incident, and that Kauldhar had followed him there.

“We have her present there, following him then to the area of his vehicle, and then leaving the area shortly after the offense is committed.”
