A 7-year-old girl was hit by a stray bullet during a daylight shooting in Harlem on Monday, according to authorities and sources.
The girl was walking with her family at the corner of West 145th Street and Bradhurst Avenue when she was struck in the stomach around 2:50 p.m., as reported by cops and sources.
Sources indicated that the gunfire appeared to come from two young men at the adjacent corner.
The girl, who was not the intended target, was quickly transported to Harlem Hospital in a police cruiser and is currently in stable condition.
School supplies and clothing items were found scattered on the sidewalk after the incident.
Two teenage males, aged 17 and 19, were arrested for weapon possession, although authorities are investigating whether they can be charged with the shooting.
As of yet, there is no known motive for the gunfire.
