Plutarch’s Sayings of Kings and Commanders (translated by Frank Cole Babbitt) features a story about Antigonus, one of Alexander the Great’s successors:
During a lawsuit with his brother Marsyas, who claimed the right to have the trial held at his house, Antigonus insisted, ‘It shall be in the Forum and with everybody listening to see whether we do any injustice.’
