An Army veteran, Jason Kendall, confessed to the murder and sexual assault of Las Vegas prostitute Larissa Garcia after an encounter at the Palms Casino Resort. Garcia, who used the names “Andrea” and “Dallas” on an online escort service, met with Kendall in the hotel lobby before heading to a room where he allegedly strangled and assaulted her.
Kendall paid Garcia $2,000 for sex but “snapped” when she requested more money, leading to a violent outburst. After the assault, Kendall called the police to report an overdose, leaving Garcia severely injured. She was later found on the floor with a cut to her jaw, and despite no drugs or alcohol in her system, she was declared brain dead and passed away.
Police investigation revealed Kendall’s involvement through hotel reservations and messages with Garcia. He was arrested and charged with open murder, sexual assault, and battery by strangulation. If the charge is upgraded to first-degree murder, Kendall could face life in prison or the death penalty in Nevada.
Garcia, a single mother of two, was remembered as a bright light full of love and laughter. A GoFundMe page was set up to cover her funeral expenses and honor her memory.
