Microsoft has announced that the technical issues that affected some customers on Tuesday have been resolved.
In a post on X, the company stated that after thorough monitoring, the access and performance issues that were impacting multiple Microsoft 365 services have now been cleared.
Earlier in the day, Microsoft reported on its website that an unexpected surge in usage caused two Azure components to underperform, resulting in intermittent errors, timeouts, and latency spikes.
Microsoft initially believed that network configuration changes had successfully mitigated the effects of the usage spike. However, these changes were causing some side effects for certain services, which the company is actively working to address.
According to Microsoft’s website, the global impacts of the issues were felt by users worldwide, including in Canada, where users reported login, Outlook, and website problems on Downdetector.ca.
Less than two weeks ago, Microsoft faced widespread technical difficulties due to a routine software update from cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike.
The CrowdStrike outage affected airlines, banks, and major retailers globally.
