A dramatic incident unfolded at a Georgia Chick-fil-A when an employee fought for his life against a gun-wielding burglar who broke into the store. The intense struggle was caught on camera.
The terrifying ordeal took place at the Stone Mountain fast-food restaurant in the early hours of July 1. The suspect, identified as 51-year-old Tommie Lee Williams, used a rock to smash through the drive-thru window and threatened the employee with a handgun, demanding access to the safe.
Despite the threat, the employee did not have the combination to the safe and a physical altercation ensued as they wrestled over the gun. Security footage from the scene shows the employee managing to remove Williams’ mask during the scuffle, causing him to flee the restaurant.
Following a thorough investigation, Williams was identified and arrested on July 31. He now faces multiple charges including armed robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He is currently held at the Gwinnett County Jail.
