According to reports, one suspect allegedly left a note in a restaurant apologizing for the crime.
SAN FERNANDO, Calif.âThe San Fernando Police Department is currently investigating a string of almost a dozen business burglaries and vandalisms, with one incident involving the suspect leaving an apologetic note.
The recent burglaries targeted various businesses, including Teriyaki Madness on Truman Street, and security footage of the break-in was shared by the San Fernando Police Department.
Other businesses affected by the burglaries include San Fernando Coffee Company, Quieres TacosWay, Aszkenazy Development, Rigoâs Tacos, Club de NutriciĂłn Protein Stop, and Baskin Robbins, as reported by sanfernandosun.com.
San Fernando Coffee Company was broken into on Tuesday, with the thief breaking in and stealing the cash register, which contained only $6, according to KTLA5.
Isaiah Rosario, the owner of the coffee shop, expressed his frustration, stating that despite the minimal amount of money in the register, it would cost around $1,000 to replace it.
Teriyaki Madness, located next door, was targeted twice in the same week. Surveillance cameras captured an intruder entering through a shattered window and making a beeline for the cash register.
As per KTLA5, the security cameras caught the male thief writing a note before making his escape. The note stated: âSorry! Need money for drugs, wonât come back.â
Authorities are currently investigating if the same individual or group is responsible for all the burglaries.
San Fernando police Chief Fabian Valdez informed KTLA5 on Friday that additional officers have been deployed undercover, with increased patrols, in an attempt to apprehend the perpetrators. He encouraged community members to report any suspicious behavior.
âFirst and foremostâif you see something, say something,â Valdez emphasized. âIt is crucial for the community to act as the eyes and ears of the police department.â
