Kamala Harris is often portrayed as tough on crime due to her successful career as a district attorney in San Francisco and attorney general in California, where she prosecuted individuals as part of her job.
Using this logic, it would mean that Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg is also tough on crime.
However, a more revealing aspect of Harris’s stance on crime is her support for bailing out the 2020 George Floyd rioters. She endorsed a bail fund that resulted in violent repeat offenders being released back onto the streets of Minneapolis.
During the city’s unrest, Harris tweeted a call to support the Minnesota Freedom Fund to aid protesters, which contributed to the fund raising $40 million. Unfortunately, this money was used to release individuals accused of serious crimes such as murder, rape, and theft.
Despite the fund’s questionable distribution of funds, Harris has not removed her tweet endorsing it, indicating her continued support or reluctance to oppose the far-left.
It’s worth noting that Harris chose Tim Walz as her running mate, despite his inadequate handling of crime in Minnesota, leading to an increase in serious crime rates above the national average.
While Harris has not explicitly outlined her crime policies, her actions so far provide enough reason to consider voting against her in the upcoming elections.
