Baby beluga
It is truly heartbreaking to hear about the tragic death of the beloved beluga, Hvaldimir. This innocent creature, known for being falsely labeled as a spy in the past, did not deserve such a cruel fate.
The fact that Hval’s collar was not removed, despite it potentially offering him more protection, adds to the tragedy of the situation. Hval was never a threat to anyone.
Whoever is responsible for this atrocity should be held accountable for their heinous actions.

Crime statistics
The recent report on the high number of arrests of criminal illegal migrants is alarming. The fact that a significant percentage of arrests in Midtown and Queens involve migrants highlights a concerning trend.
The policies and laws that incentivize these arrivals, combined with the lack of border control, are contributing to this issue. The tragic deaths of individuals allegedly murdered by illegal migrants further emphasize the need for stricter immigration policies.

Flailing tests
The delayed release of school testing results by the State Education Department is concerning, as it may be masking a decline in learning outcomes in public schools.
Despite the significant funding allocated to education, the results do not seem to reflect the investment. Questions about the effectiveness of current educational practices and the allocation of resources need to be addressed.

Customized receptacles for different types of garbage can help streamline the recycling process and promote responsible waste disposal practices.

Scaffold free
The removal of a 15-year-old scaffold in Manhattan raises questions about the persistence of scaffolds in other areas, such as 129 Fulton St. Despite complaints, the scaffold remains, raising concerns about its necessity and safety.
The issuance of work permits without any visible progress on the site is suspicious and warrants further investigation.
