Jash observed that the Chinese military exercises have become more advanced, incorporating technologies like drones.
He noted, “China’s military drills are increasingly frequent, intense, large-scale, and multi-domain, aiming to showcase China’s capability to blockade and isolate Taiwan while signaling Beijing’s disapproval of any moves towards Taiwan’s independence.”
The blockade would disrupt shipments of advanced microchips needed by the Chinese economy for technological advancement, as well as hinder the economic integration efforts with Taiwan.
The article states, “If China blocks exports from an island that produces 90% of the world’s most advanced semiconductor capacity, the U.S. could garner widespread support for retaliatory actions, potentially tightening China’s access to key maritime routes.”
In the event of a Taiwan invasion, China would suffer losses in foreign investments, critical technology, and tax revenues, significantly impacting its economy.
