Prosecutors Investigating New Leads in Marilyn Manson Case
Authorities are currently investigating “new leads” in the case of accused sex abuser Marilyn Manson, with a decision on potential charges expected to be made soon.
The 55-year-old musician, whose real name is Brian Warner, has been under investigation for years following allegations of rape, sexual assault, and torture made by multiple women, including his former fiance, actor Evan Rachel Wood.
Specialist sex crimes prosecutors are meticulously reviewing new evidence and leads that have come to light recently, as confirmed by Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón in an update on the case.
According to Gascón, new evidence has surfaced in the past few weeks, supplementing an already extensive case file provided by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The District Attorney emphasized the importance of having a complete picture of the admissible evidence before making a decision on filing charges. An update on the filing decision is expected to be provided soon.
Senior staff members at the DA’s office have met with the victims and are maintaining contact with them throughout the investigation. Gascón mentioned that he plans to meet with the victims personally to discuss how his office can continue to support them once a decision on charges has been made.
Despite requests from some victims to meet with Gascón, he stated that it would be inappropriate to do so until a decision on charges has been finalized.
The Post has reached out to Manson’s attorney for comment on the latest developments.
In 2021, authorities raided Manson’s West Hollywood home after multiple women came forward with allegations of sexual abuse. Subsequently, his record label dropped him in response to the accusations.
Manson has consistently denied the allegations, although he has settled at least two lawsuits related to the claims.
One of the lawsuits was filed by “Game of Thrones” actor Esmé Bianco, who accused Manson of sexually, physically, and emotionally abusing her during their relationship in 2011.
Following the allegations, Manson settled with Bianco in 2023 and also reached a settlement with another individual who accused him of rape the same year.
In a separate case, accuser Bianca Allaine Kyne revealed herself as the Jane Doe behind a 2023 lawsuit accusing Manson of sexually grooming and abusing her in the late 1990s, including allegations of rape starting when she was 16 years old in 1995.
