The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has acknowledged the arrests but has refrained from providing further details to ensure the integrity of the ongoing investigation.
The alleged activities of the Polish group reportedly included sending disguised explosives to various European countries with the ultimate goal of targeting North America.
The national prosecutor’s office in Poland has stated that efforts are underway to identify any additional suspects involved in the scheme.
The investigation in Poland was initiated in August based on security information and is being carried out in cooperation with the country’s civil aviation authority.
