Investigators have revealed that the suspect who fatally shot a Texas father on Halloween night in his Houston garage wore a white Michael Myers mask to conceal his identity.
The victim, identified as Eric Pait Jr., 38, was tragically killed, leaving behind three children after the murder of his estranged wife a few months prior.
Two children were present in the house at the time of the shooting, but fortunately, they were unharmed.
According to reports, witnesses saw a man wearing the iconic mask leaving the scene after the shooting.
Carman Peterson, 37, was also fatally shot in Houston on August 16, with Pait being considered a person of interest in that case as well.
Authorities were alerted to the crime scene just before 11:30 p.m. on Halloween night by neighbors and one of Pait’s children who called 911.
Despite the ongoing investigations, the motives behind both murders remain unclear, and detectives are working to establish any possible connections between the two cases.
