The Florida real estate tycoon charged with murdering his still-missing wife, Suzanne Simpson, was seen driving with suspicious items in his truck as he searched for a dump the day after she vanished, according to a new affidavit.
Brad Simpson was seen with a load of trash bags, a heavy-duty trash can, and a large bulky item wrapped in a blue tarp, shortly before he bought cement and cleaning supplies on Oct. 7, the day after his wife’s disappearance.
The morning after the alleged fight, Brad Simpson was observed dropping off one of their children at school before stopping at a Whataburger in Boerne with a suspicious load in his truck.
At the Whataburger, items like trash bags, a trash can, an ice chest, and a large bulky item in a tarp were visible in the back of his truck, as per the affidavit.
Brad later went to a Home Depot to purchase supplies, including cement, trash bags, Clorox, and insect repellent, before asking for directions to the nearest dump.
After a series of activities involving his truck and changing footwear, Brad Simpson picked up his daughter from school and was later seen washing his car at a car wash.
Following a friend’s call inquiring about Suzanne, who was reported missing, Brad Simpson was arrested and charged with murder, as authorities believe she is dead.
Searches at the couple’s home yielded incriminating evidence, including cellphones and a laptop found in a burn pit, along with notes confessing to assault.
Further details from the affidavit suggest a troubled history of physical abuse and suspicious communications between Brad Simpson and his business partner.
Despite ongoing investigations and search efforts, Suzanne Simpson’s body has not been located, and Brad Simpson remains in custody on a significant bond.
