Angel Gustavo Lata-Landi, 36, a construction worker, was the first victim. He was waiting for a ride home from a work site when he was fatally stabbed. Described as a quiet and kind individual, his tragic death has left the community devastated.
Chang Wang, 67, was the second victim, killed while fishing in the East River. A makeshift memorial with a candle and fishing hook now stands at the spot where he lost his life.
Wilma Augustin, 36, the third victim, was stabbed near the United Nations building and later succumbed to her injuries at a hospital. She was a single mother, leaving behind an 8-year-old child.
