A 17-year-old boy was fatally stabbed in Lower Manhattan
A tragic incident occurred in Lower Manhattan where a 17-year-old boy lost his life and another teen was injured in a brutal stabbing. The attack took place outside 17 John Street in the Financial District after the victims informed their attackers that they did not speak English, according to police and sources.
According to the NYPD and sources, the two teens were approached by three male suspects at around 7:39 p.m. The suspects inquired if the teens could speak English, and upon learning that they couldn’t, they initiated the violent attack.
The victim, identified as Yeremi Colino, 17, was stabbed in the chest, while an 18-year-old man suffered a knife wound in the left arm. Both victims were rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where Colino tragically succumbed to his injuries, while the other victim remains in stable condition.
Law enforcement sources revealed that the duo was attacked with a knife, and as of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the case.
Witnesses were left horrified by the incident, which took place outside Kuu, a popular ramen restaurant. One witness described the scene as reminiscent of a horror movie, with an overwhelming amount of blood and the victim collapsing multiple times.
Javier Pau, who was dining at the restaurant at the time of the incident, witnessed the aftermath of the stabbing and was deeply affected by it. The police have cordoned off the area as they continue their investigation into the tragic event.
