A teenager passenger was slashed in a confrontation with a stranger who accidentally bumped into him during the evening rush hour in Queens, according to police and sources.
The 19-year-old victim was on a northbound J train passing through the 75th Street–Elderts Lane station in Woodhaven just before 6 p.m. when another passenger bumped into him, authorities and sources reported.
After exchanging words, the assailant brandished a knife and cut the teen on his arm, sources revealed.
The alleged attacker then exited the train and fled to the street.
The victim was transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center and is in stable condition.
The suspect was last seen wearing blue jeans, a yellow jacket, black sneakers, a gray beanie hat, and a green backpack.
