An individual has been detained by authorities after a fire broke out in a San Clemente home on April 7, as reported by media outlets.
Firefighters were alerted to multiple calls just before 5:30 a.m. regarding a fire in the 2300 block of Calle La Serna, according to the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) tweeted.
Reports indicate that it took about 49 minutes for firefighters to bring the blaze under control.
No injuries were reported, and the identity of the individual detained by Orange County sheriff’s deputies has not been disclosed.
Although firefighters managed to save a portion of the house, the total damage was estimated at $1 million, with $750,000 in structural damage and $250,000 in contents, as per the Orange County Register.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
