Sheng Xue, a Canada-based writer and media professional, observed that the Kennedy School frequently holds activities that support communism. She mentioned that Xie Feng, the Chinese Ambassador to the United States, is a spokesperson for an authoritarian regime and the mouthpiece of the CCP. Sheng criticized the Harvard Kennedy School for providing a respectable platform to individuals like Xie Feng. Sheng believes that as awareness of CCP atrocities grows, similar protests will continue to rise. She stated, “Those who support a regime that goes against humanity should be ostracized and prevented from spreading falsehoods worldwide.”
Feng Chongyi, an associate professor at the University of Technology Sydney, also thinks that students from other schools may follow suit in protesting after this incident. He mentioned that students from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Tibet, and the Uyghur community can adopt this method of protest, which can be carried out by individuals and doesn’t require a large group.
Feng pointed out that embarrassing situations for CCP officials are ongoing, but the Xi regime is facing containment and opposition from the democratic world. He emphasized that the CCP will only change its behavior if there are real consequences to pay.
