Trump Endorses Trent Staggs to Replace Mitt Romney in Senate

Staggs had previously criticized Romney for his vote against President Trump in the impeachment trial. Staggs is also a proponent of strict immigration regulations. The Republican mayor is committed to advocating for Utah’s energy independence and believes that if the federal government would step aside, the United States could reduce its reliance on oil imports from the Middle East. Staggs opposes the limitations on domestic energy production that have been in place since 2021, attributing them to what he calls “hysterical environmentalism.”
