Fordham University student Kara Gilbert, 22, struggled to navigate her way to class today amidst the pro-Palestine demonstrations on campus. Located at 113 West 60 Street in Manhattan, Fordham University has become the latest target for disruptive protesters since April.
Ms. Gilbert, a senior majoring in communications at the Jesuit and Catholic college, was among the many bystanders observing the protesters calling for disclosure and divestment of the school’s ties to Israel. She noted the difficulties faced in accessing the building due to closed entrances but managed to make it to class.
By the afternoon, an encampment of tents had sprung up inside the main building, with protesters obstructing entrances and a group on the roof leading chants for passersby. Ms. Gilbert expressed her concerns about the lack of action regarding religious persecution at a Jesuit institution like Fordham University, despite promises to hire religious staff from diverse backgrounds to support students.

Mr. Feldman, in an interview with The Epoch Times, emphasized the importance of valuing and honoring freedom of speech, particularly when it serves as a voice for humanity and justice. He stressed that as individuals with morals, it is essential to show respect and admiration for this fundamental right.
Furthermore, Mr. Feldman urged politicians in New York City to acknowledge and support the students who are speaking out for what is right. It is crucial for leaders to listen to their demands and stand up for justice.
