15-Year-Old Girl Fights Off Attempted Rape in Bronx Park
A 15-year-old girl bravely fought off a sicko who tried to rape her in a terrifying attack inside a Bronx park, according to police.
The incident occurred around 5 p.m. on a Saturday as the teen was walking along a path in Pelham Bay Park when a male stranger approached and engaged her in conversation, the authorities reported.
Subsequently, he put her in a headlock and dragged her to a wooded area of the park, where he tried to sexually assault her.
The courageous teen managed to fend off her attacker, who fled from the scene, according to the police.
Despite sustaining minor injuries, the victim declined medical attention, as per the authorities.
The suspect, as depicted in a mugshot released by the NYPD, is described as a male between 20 and 30 years old with a medium complexion, slim build, mustache, curly eyelashes, and thick eyebrows.
He was last seen wearing a green hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants.
