The individual accused of stabbing six people, including three children, and suspected of a murder in Connecticut, was in the process of changing their identity.
Jared Ravizza, 26, recently transitioned from sharing shirtless gym selfies to posting photos wearing lipgloss, face glitter, and painted pink nails.
Ravizza referred to themselves as “she” on Instagram and filed for a legal name change from Jared Christian Ravizza Jones to Jared Love Jones.
Ravizza cited honoring their grandmother and family lineage as the reason for the name change in court documents.
The request for the name change to remain private was granted by a judge.
Ravizza is under investigation for a murder in Connecticut, with the victim’s identity undisclosed.
Ravizza allegedly stabbed four girls at a theater near Boston and attacked two others at a McDonald’s.
None of the victims’ injuries were life-threatening.
Ravizza’s Instagram page showcases various images and videos displaying different aspects of their life.
The suspect is facing charges related to the attacks and is yet to enter a plea.
Describing the theater attack, police mentioned it was unprovoked and the suspect fled after the incident.
Witnesses described the suspect as wearing an oversized trench coat, sunglasses, and a long blonde wig.
Ravizza then drove to another location and stabbed two employees at a McDonald’s drive-thru.
Surveillance footage captured the suspect carrying out the attacks with a large knife.
Both victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries and received medical attention.
The suspect was apprehended after a car crash and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital.
Ravizza is scheduled to appear in court for arraignment.
