Professional boxer and powerlifting world record holder Stefanie Cohen has been accused of hacking into her ex-boyfriend’s laptop and sharing nude photos of his new girlfriend in an attempt to expose and humiliate her. Cohen, 32, is facing multiple charges including unauthorized access to a computer, sexual cyberharassment, criminal mischief, and resisting arrest without violence.
According to reports from NBC 6, Cohen, whose full name is Stefanie Cohen Magarici, accessed her ex-boyfriend’s laptop in March 2022 and discovered naked photos of his new girlfriend. She allegedly shared these images in a group chat with the woman and other girls, stating that she wanted to expose and humiliate her.
The incident was reported to Miami detectives in November 2023, leading to Cohen’s arrest at her home in Coconut Grove. During the arrest, she resisted and even attempted to break the locking system of the squad car.
Cohen, known for her impressive powerlifting achievements and boxing record, has been granted bail and instructed to stay away from her ex-boyfriend and his girlfriend. She is scheduled to appear in court on June 27.
With a boxing record of 4-1-1 and numerous powerlifting world records, including for squat, deadlift, and total in the 123-pound weight class, Cohen has made a name for herself in the sports world. She has competed in powerlifting competitions from 2015 to 2020, showcasing her strength and determination.
This incident has brought unwanted attention to Cohen, tarnishing her reputation as a successful athlete. Despite her achievements, her actions in this case have raised serious legal and ethical concerns.
