To commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day in France, President Biden seizes the opportunity to embody both a commander in chief and a statesman, honoring the American veterans who played a pivotal role in liberating Europe from Nazi Germany.
In addition to this significant occasion, the President’s campaign leverages it as a chance to critique former President Donald J. Trump.
Recently, the Biden campaign unveiled a digital advertisement featuring three veterans who were present at a White House event in New Hampshire. During the event, President Biden announced the approval of over one million claims from veterans affected by toxic exposures during their military service.
These veterans took the opportunity to criticize Mr. Trump, labeling him as “a draft dodger” and questioning his suitability as a commander in chief. They also highlighted his alleged lack of accountability, which comes at an awkward time following his recent felony convictions in a hush-money trial in Manhattan.
The Biden campaign plans to include this ad as part of the $14 million advertising campaign announced earlier in May.
