Trump proposed three debates with Vice President Kamala Harris in September. He suggested one debate on Fox on Sept. 4, one on ABC on Sept. 10, and one on NBC on Sept. 25.
ABC News confirmed on Aug. 8 that both Harris and Trump have agreed to debate on the network on Sept. 10. The network spokesperson stated, “ABC News will host qualifying presidential candidates to debate on September 10 on ABC. Vice President Harris and former President Trump have both confirmed they will attend the ABC debate.”
Harris secured enough delegate support and was officially nominated for president by the Democratic Party on Aug. 5, ahead of the party’s convention in Chicago on Aug. 19–22.
Despite a lawsuit filed by Trump against ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, Trump expressed willingness to debate on the network in an interview with “Fox & Friends” on Aug. 7. He mentioned potential conflicts but did not rule out participating in the debate.
Trump stated during a press conference at Mar-a-Lago Club on Aug. 8 that he would like to debate Harris on Fox on Sept. 4, on ABC on Sept. 10, and on NBC on Sept. 25. The Trump campaign confirmed these dates.
It remains to be seen if Harris will agree to the additional suggested dates. The Epoch Times has reached out to the Harris campaign for comment.
This is a developing story.
