Following a collision in Lubbock, Texas, on Saturday night, four individuals sustained injuries when a bus carrying the Abilene Christian University football team was involved in an accident with another vehicle.
According to the ACU athletics department, one player, two coaches, and the bus driver were transported to University Center in Lubbock for minor injuries.
As of Sunday, the Lubbock Police Department has not provided an update on the situation.
The incident occurred as the team was returning to Abilene after a game against the Texas Tech Red Raiders at the Jones AT&T Stadium. Social media videos depict a white truck with significant front-end damage at the scene.
The ACU statement expressed gratitude to Texas Tech Director of Athletics Kirby Hocutt, team physician Dr. Michael Phy, and all first responders for their support and care.
