Christopher Husary, 37, was hit with a hate crime charge for threatening a Jewish man on a Manhattan train while wearing a Hezbollah t-shirt and a mask, according to police.
Husary was charged with attempted hate crime and aggravated harassment for the incident on June 10, where he reportedly spewed antisemitic remarks at White Plains lawyer Joshua Savitt.
The confrontation occurred as Savitt, 35, was returning home after visiting a Manhattan exhibit honoring the victims of the Oct. 7 Nova Music Festival attack and saw two individuals vandalizing the train car near Union Square.
They had allegedly spray painted “Free Gaza,” prompting Savitt to take their photo.
The vandals then confronted him, calling him a “Zionist,” according to police reports.
In an exclusive interview with The Post following the incident, Savitt described how Husary taunted him, warning him not to take his photo.
Savitt recounted Husary saying, “Bro, if you only knew who I was,” while making threatening remarks.
Savitt filed a police report after Husary was identified by The Post as a bicoastal agitator living with his parents in their $1.8 million California home.
Husary, who has a history of protest-related arrests, defended himself in an interview, claiming that Savitt was the aggressor.
He was extradited from California to face the charges.
