Pashinyan’s government in Armenia may view as further solidifying the close ties between Belarus and Russia.
Lukashenko has confirmed the joint exercises between Russia and Belarus for potential deployment of tactical nuclear weapons. Despite the deepening ties with Moscow, Belarus has not actively participated in the war between Russia and Ukraine. However, its military cooperation with Russia has caused tensions with Ukraine due to the shared border. Belarus recently strengthened its border defenses after accusing Ukraine of amassing troops near its territory. Ukrainian officials dismissed these claims as part of a Russian-supported disinformation campaign. Belarusian military spokesman expressed concerns about continued border provocations by Ukraine, including alleged airspace violations by armed drones. These actions were seen as attempts to deliver explosives for possible diversionary actions. Kyiv has not yet responded to Minsk’s allegations. The Epoch Times could not independently verify these claims.
