Authorities reported that at least two teenagers were among the three individuals injured in separate shooting incidents at two bodegas in New York City on Sunday evening.
The first shooting took place on the Upper West Side and the second in Brooklyn, with suspects in both cases still at large, according to the police.
One incident involved a 16-year-old boy being shot in the stomach and another male being hit in the hip at a deli on Amsterdam and 92nd Street in upper Manhattan.
Both victims were transported to nearby hospitals in stable condition.
The suspect in this case was described as a male wearing all black.
In the second shooting, a 16-year-old boy sustained injuries to his left arm, right hand, and groin in a targeted attack at a deli on Sutter Avenue in East New York.
He was taken to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition.
The owner of the Brooklyn deli where the second shooting occurred stated, “Somebody just came in here and just shot somebody, that’s all. It’s not a big issue.”
The suspected gunman in this incident was identified as a male wearing all-gray, as per the NYPD.
These back-to-back shootings at city bodegas follow a recent incident where six individuals were shot and wounded during a shooting at a Bronx deli.
In that incident, a 40-year-old mother was shot in the stomach after being used as a human shield by one of the intended targets. Her 12-year-old daughter was also injured in the right thigh, according to the police.
