Emergency services in northern Slovakia have confirmed the tragic death of a 55-year-old man following a bear attack in a forest. The incident took place near Hybe, a town close to the High Tatra mountains, as the victim was foraging for mushrooms with another individual, according to police.
Despite the efforts of rescuers, the man ultimately succumbed to his injuries, as announced by emergency services on Facebook. This marks the first fatal bear attack in Slovakia since 2021, as reported by local media.
