A 15-year-old boy was slashed in the face multiple times during a confrontation with another student outside a high school in Queens, authorities and sources reported.
The incident occurred near Springfield Gardens High School on Springfield Boulevard around 2:45 p.m. The victim sustained three cuts to his face during the altercation, which was a result of an ongoing dispute between the two teens.
The injured boy was taken to Cohen Children’s Medical Center and is currently in stable condition. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the slashing incident.
This incident follows a recent case where another 15-year-old boy was shot in the leg outside South Shore High School. Similarly, there was another shooting involving a 17-year-old boy near Ralph R. McKee Career and Technical Education High School earlier this month.
The teenage victims in these cases were taken to different hospitals and are currently in stable condition.
