A tragic incident unfolded in a Queens apartment where a knife-wielding man killed his 8-year-old brother and stabbed both his parents. The perpetrator was killed by police during the confrontation, according to authorities.
Police responded to a distress call at 147-25 94th Ave. in Jamaica after the injured mother escaped the apartment seeking help. Inside, they found the 20-year-old suspect holding his father at knifepoint over the kitchen sink.
Despite repeated commands to drop the knife, the suspect did not comply, leading to police intervention. The family members were rushed to the hospital, where the young boy and the suspect succumbed to their injuries. The parents are currently receiving medical treatment.
Fortunately, an 8-month-old infant present in the apartment was unharmed during the tragic incident. The authorities are still investigating the relationship between the suspect and the victim, as well as the circumstances surrounding the event.
