State Minister Arrested in the Maldives Over Black Magic Spell on President
Police in the Maldives have arrested State Minister for Environment, Climate Change, and Energy Fathimath Shamnaz Ali Saleem. While police have not provided a reason for her arrest, local media reports suggest she is being accused of using black magic against President Mohamed Muizzu.
It is important to note that sorcery is not considered illegal under the country’s civil penal code. However, under Islamic law in this majority Muslim nation, it can be punishable by up to six months in prison.
