Myanmar’s military government has arrested Hiroshi Kasamatsu, an executive with a Japanese supermarket chain with several stores in the country, for selling rice above the maximum price set by the government. In total, the government arrested 62 people for selling rice above the official price. Kasamatsu and 10 others face six months to three years in prison while the rest face possible fines.
