Three of the initiatives on the California ballot are constitutional amendments, including one that would eliminate the restriction on recognizing only male-female marriages in the state. Unfortunately, he decided to withdraw his effort at the last minute.
Removed From Ballot
Five initiatives have recently been taken off the ballot. This decision was made due to repetitive bills, bills that are no longer relevant, compromises made in the Legislature, and concerns about the high cost of advertising the initiatives. The crowded list of measures now qualified for the ballot also played a role in this decision.
The initiatives covered a range of topics including low-income housing projects, tax increases, personal finance courses for high school students, workplace justice, and child healthcare.
One voting threshold initiative, ACA 13, has been rescheduled for November 2026.
