Yuan Hongbing, a Chinese dissident, revealed that all military support for North Korea came from the CCP, with North Korea simply acting as a white glove. Yuan, a former law professor at Peking University, obtained this information from members of the “second-generation red” group, children of senior CCP officials, who are challenging Chinese leader Xi Jinping. The CCP funded North Korea’s military aid to Russia, as reported by Yuan on Dec. 4.
Yuan, who had access to the top echelon of the CCP during his time at Peking University, shared that the CCP’s military advisors outlined plans for dealing with a potential second Trump administration in a recent report he acquired. This report recommended ramping up support for Russia and Iran to distract the US.
The CCP’s strategy involves keeping the US preoccupied in conflicts like Ukraine and the Middle East to weaken its ability to intervene in a potential invasion of Taiwan. The CCP considers Taiwan part of its territory and has not ruled out using force to bring it under its control. Yuan emphasized that supporting Russia and terrorist groups aligns with the CCP’s fundamental strategy to achieve its geopolitical goals. 14 days after Taiwanese President Lai Ching-te’s statement that China and Taiwan “do not belong to one another” during his national day speech, military planes and ships from Beijing were deployed to encircle the island. According to a report from a think tank, CCP leaders have been advised to come up with a strategy to resolve the Taiwan issue by 2027. This goal is seen as a “political guarantee” for the CCP’s 21st National Congress in 2027, indicating that party elites are staking the party’s legitimacy on the absorption of the self-ruled island. Adam Morrow and Lily Zhou have contributed to this report.
