The latest arrest of Chiefs’ Isaiah Buggs
Details surrounding the latest arrest of Chiefs’ Isaiah Buggs emerged on Tuesday, revealing disturbing allegations against the defensive lineman.
Buggs has been accused of dragging the mother of his child down a set of stairs, injuring her in the process before leaving the scene after she threatened to call the police, according to court documents viewed by TMZ.
The court documents stated that the alleged victim reported Buggs breaking into her home in Tuscaloosa, Ala. at around 5:28 a.m. on Sunday and going upstairs.
During the confrontation, the victim claimed that Buggs’ actions caused her to break several clip-on toenails, with police noting “scratch marks” on her arms from the incident, as reported by TMZ.
Buggs was charged with domestic violence and burglary.
He was booked into Tuscaloosa County Jail on a mandatory 24-hour domestic violence hold, with a bond set at $5,000, according to Tuscaloosa Patch.
This was the second arrest for Buggs in a month, following two counts of second-degree animal cruelty charges in May.
Buggs also faces allegations of shoving Tuscaloosa Police Chief Brent Blankley in April and pointing a handgun at a patron of Kings Hookah Lounge, which he owns.
A Tuscaloosa County District Court judge revoked Buggs’ bond following his weekend arrest related to the domestic violence incident, as reported by Tuscaloosa Patch.
His innocence is maintained in the other accusations, with his agent claiming they are part of an “ongoing subversive campaign” to force the closure of the hookah lounge he owns in Tuscaloosa.
