A violent incident unfolded at a Panera Bread in Glendale, Colorado, where a worker used a bread pan to defend against a crazed customer’s assault on employees and other customers.
The suspect, identified as Isaac Ross by the Glendale Police Department, caused chaos inside the restaurant by yelling, throwing items, and demanding a phone that the workers did not have, as reported by KDVR.
A video captured by a customer, Natalie Wiersma, shows the suspect’s erratic behavior, including racial slurs and physical aggression towards patrons and staff.
Despite pleas from customers to stop, the suspect’s behavior escalated, leading to a physical altercation with a Good Samaritan who tried to intervene.
In a dramatic moment, a Panera Bread employee stepped in with a long bread pan, striking the suspect multiple times to subdue him and protect others in the restaurant.
The Glendale Police Department reported that the suspect fled the scene after the altercation but returned later for another violent outburst, resulting in the assault of another individual who required medical attention for minor injuries.
Authorities are seeking information from the public to locate Isaac Ross, and investigations into the incidents are ongoing.
