The drag queen leading the children in a chant for “free Palestine” at a queer storytime event in Massachusetts is Harris Kornstein, a Jewish Humanities Professor at the University of Arizona who has appeared on Saturday Night Live. Kornstein also shared excerpts from his book “If You’re a Drag Queen and You Know It” during the event. He is known for using familiar children’s rhymes as inspiration for his writings, including his book “The Hips On The Drag Queen Go Swish, Swish, Swish,” a spin-off of the classic nursery rhyme “The Wheels On The Bus Go Round and Round.”
Some of the lines from his book include “if you’re a drag queen and you know it, blow a kiss” and “let it show by shaking your bum.”
Northampton, located in The Berkshires region of Massachusetts, has been affectionately referred to as “Lesbianville, USA” and the lesbian capital of the world by various publications, including The Massachusetts Daily Collegian.
Despite attempts to reach out for comment, Mr. Kornstein did not respond to inquiries from The Epoch Times.
