The race for the presidency remains incredibly tight, with conflicting polls showing one candidate just tenths of a percentage point ahead of the other. Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump engaged in a series of campaign stops in Wisconsin and Michigan on Nov. 1, as the election draws near. Polling averages on Oct. 31 indicated that Trump was leading by 0.3 percent nationwide, while Harris was ahead by 0.3 percent in Wisconsin and 0.8 percent in Michigan. In the 2020 election, Biden narrowly won Wisconsin by a small margin, while he secured a more comfortable victory in Michigan. Both candidates are focusing on winning the crucial 25 combined electoral votes from these two states. Harris made stops in three cities in Wisconsin within six hours, appealing to union members and promising to support pro-union legislation. On the other hand, Trump focused on courting Arab Americans and auto workers in Michigan, emphasizing his commitment to reinvigorating the auto industry. With the election nearing and the polls fluctuating, both candidates are intensifying their efforts to secure crucial votes in these key battleground states.
