An angry California man was taken into custody last month after allegedly attempting to run over a porn star and assaulting him with a golf club following the adult actor filming a scene with his ex-girlfriend, as per police reports.
James Gosselin, 26, reportedly crashed his truck into Bradley Hamilton’s motorcycle on April 2 in a fit of jealousy, according to a report and a criminal complaint from the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office.
Gosselin was incensed that Hamilton and his former partner, known only as “Gia,” had collaborated on an adult film, as detailed in a probable cause affidavit obtained by the Los Angeles Times.
Hamilton informed LAPD detectives that after Gosselin hit his back tire, causing him to lose balance, he observed Gosselin unsuccessfully trying to conceal his face with a ski mask before exiting the truck with a golf club.
Despite several failed attempts, Gosselin allegedly struck Hamilton once on his lower back, resulting in bruising, according to the warrant.
Hamilton then tackled Gosselin and fractured his orbital bone with a punch to the face.
Authorities arrived and apprehended Gosselin, who admitted to possessing the ski mask, golf club, and illegal firearm found in his truck. He was transported to the hospital but later discharged for undisclosed medical reasons.
Hamilton informed investigators that after Gosselin was released from the hospital, he received a text from Gosselin indicating that he was out and searching for him. Hamilton mentioned that Gosselin had a reputation for carrying a weapon with him.
A mutual acquaintance informed the police that Gosselin was upset about his breakup with Gia, which occurred in February, and her relationship with Hamilton, according to records.
Gosselin allegedly informed Gia that he intended to wait for Hamilton on the street, kill him, and then transport his body in the truck.
Gosselin was taken into custody on April 4 and charged with attempted murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm, and illegal possession of a loaded firearm in public, as outlined in the criminal complaint.
He posted a $1 million bond the following day, as indicated in jail records.
