Manhattan’s Notorious Repeat Drug Dealer
Brandon Hunter, a 20-year-old alleged drug dealer, has been arrested 20 times in two years for dealing crack, heroin, fentanyl, and other drugs in Manhattan. Despite the numerous arrests, he continues to be released back onto the streets, according to records.
Described as “the worst drug dealer in New York City” by a police source, Hunter appears unfazed by the arrests. “He just laughs. He’s like ‘I’m getting out anyway. It don’t matter.’”
Most recently, Hunter was arrested on Oct. 27 for allegedly selling crack in Midtown. During the arrest, police found a significant amount of crack cocaine and heroin in his possession.
Despite the charges, Hunter received supervised release for the drug possession charge, as confirmed by the Special Narcotics Prosecutors Office spokeswoman Kati Cornell.
The Special Narcotics Prosecutor’s Office has been handling all narcotics cases made by patrol officers in the Midtown South Precinct due to concerns about open street dealing and overdose rates in the area.
This is not the first time Hunter has been arrested in the same area. He was previously arrested in May 2023 and sentenced to nine months at Rikers Island.
Despite being released after five months, Hunter was arrested again just three weeks later on new drug-related charges.
During his most recent arrest, Hunter was found with heroin and crack cocaine in his possession. Despite concerns about his repeated arrests, Judge Valentina Morales released him on supervised release.
As per court records, Hunter is now being considered for a drug treatment program, although he is known to be a drug dealer rather than a drug user.
Despite his ongoing criminal activities, Hunter continues to evade strict consequences for his actions.
