A shocking video captured the moment a woman callously shot a seven-month-old infant in Philadelphia, heartlessly shouting “F—k your baby!” as the child’s mother screamed in horror.
The unidentified boy was in a stroller in the northeast part of the city when the attacker opened fire on his parents, hitting the baby in the leg Thursday evening, according to the police who are currently searching for the suspect.
In the disturbing footage released by the Philadelphia Police Department, the assailant can be seen walking past the mother and child before turning back and firing at them from close range.
As the baby cries out, the mother can be heard screaming, “My baby!” In response, the gunwoman heartlessly shouts, “F—ck your baby, b-tch!”
After the attack, the suspect walked away, leaving the injured infant behind, as per a police source cited by NBC Philadelphia.
The child’s father chased the woman, who then turned and fired at him, according to reports.
Upon police arrival, the parents were not present at the scene. Instead, a kind neighbor took the wounded baby to the hospital, as reported by WPVI-TV.
“We’re very fortunate that the 7-month-old boy is in stable condition,” stated Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small.
Subsequently, the parents of the child were questioned by the police. They were located a few blocks away from the shooting site, despite not residing in the neighborhood.
“It took us about an hour to locate the mother and the father, who we have now,” Chief Inspector Small mentioned.
The suspect is described as a heavy-set black individual with long dreadlocks, dressed in a black hoodie and jeans.
Anyone with information regarding the shooting incident, which occurred on the 4000 block of Meridian Street in Holmesburg around 5:50 p.m., is urged to contact the police at 215-686-TIPS.
