An Arizona father has been arrested on attempted murder charges after he assaulted a Department of Child Safety case worker by putting him in a chokehold for nearly three minutes. De’Andre Johnson, 37, live-streamed the brutal attack on social media, which took place during an interview about his daughter at the Mesa Tower offices where DCS is located. The disturbing footage shows Johnson strangling the case worker after a closed-door meeting with his daughter, during which he alleges the worker spoke to her alone. Despite briefly struggling, the worker was unable to free himself from Johnson’s grip. Johnson was upset that the worker had spoken to his daughter without his knowledge and became violent. The victim was hospitalized but has since been released, while Johnson faces charges of felony aggravated assault and attempted murder. This incident is not the first time Johnson has been involved in violent behavior, as he was previously convicted of aggravated assault in 2017 for attacking a man he did not know.
