Financial Vocabulary Homophones
Practice differentiating between homophones in financial vocabulary by listening to examples in context and determining if they are related to finance or not. Test your knowledge and spelling skills with a partner using various methods.
Make sure to underline the examples most relevant to finance on each line and work together to come up with suitable example sentences for each word.
Challenge each other with the following exercises:
- Say and spell both homophones and have your partner repeat back the spelling of the finance-related word.
- Pronounce the words and see if your partner can spell the word connected to finance.
- Spell both homophones and see if your partner can say the shared pronunciation.
- Spell one word and see if your partner can spell the homophone.
- Recite the homophones and see if your partner can spell both correctly.
- Present the same word in different contexts and see if your partner can identify the finance-related meaning.
- Spell one word and see if your partner can repeat it with the correct pronunciation and in a suitable context.
