A man sentenced to life in prison for plotting to kidnap, rape, and murder Holly Willoughby
A man named Gavin Plumb, 37, has been sentenced to life in prison for plotting to kidnap, rape, and murder Holly Willoughby, a well-known British television personality. The sentencing took place at Chelmsford Crown Court, where Judge Edward Murray informed Plumb that he would have to serve a minimum of 16 years before being eligible for parole. Plumb was found guilty by a jury after an eight-day trial.
During the trial, the judge revealed that Plumb had an unhealthy sexual obsession with Holly Willoughby, which led him to plan the kidnapping, rape, and murder of her over a period of years. The judge described Plumb’s plans as horrifying, shocking, and graphic in detail, so much so that they were not shared in open court. The jury, however, did hear about the sadistic, brutal, and degrading nature of the plans, which the judge believed were more than just a fantasy.
