Cox, Chair of the New York Republican State Committee, was present at Mike LiPetri’s campaign kickoff rally in Bethpage, Long Island. Despite the significant funding pledged by the Democrat’s House Majority PAC, Cox remains confident in their candidates’ abilities to win without matching the financial support. LiPetri, a former New York State Assemblyman, is challenging Democrat Congressman Tom Suozzi in Congressional District 3. Cox expressed support for LiPetri, emphasizing the importance of funding for a successful campaign. The Democrats are investing heavily in media markets and advertising, while the Republicans, led by the Congressional Leadership Fund, are also raising funds for their candidates. Despite limited funding for LiPetri as of March 31, Cox believes that contributions will increase as people recognize LiPetri’s strengths as a candidate. The rally for LiPetri took place at the Bethpage American Legion, where other Republican leaders voiced their support for their candidates in upcoming elections. Lawler reported having $2,500,119 in cash on hand, while Mr. Molinaro had $1,618,916 available. Mr. D’Esposito expressed confidence in their ability to maintain the district’s Republican status, stating, “We took a Biden 60.5 district, flipped it red, and we’re going to keep it red in November. What we’re going to see here on Long Island is a bright shade of beautiful red because we are taking back the 3rd Congressional District.”
